Innovation: a personal view

This event was a three-hour interactive workshop on futures thinking, innovation and entrepreneurship. As a much abused term, the seminar helped attendees understand and measure how innovative they are, whether they would recognise innovation and what part technology plays in innovation.

Biography

Dr Chris Yapp has been in the IT industry for 23 years in a variety of roles specialising in the management and strategic implications of networked technologies. He has focused on the areas of lifelong learning, e-government, the creative industries and social exclusion in the emerging knowledge society. Chris is also a Director of the Internet Society of England, a trustee of the School of Social Entrepreneurs and a trustee of the educational charity MIRANDANET. Chris is an associate of the Think Tank DEMOS.
